Terms & Conditions
By ordering with Proteinology, you accept the following terms and conditions.
All prices quoted within Proteinology Webshop include 20% VAT where appropriate, and an additional charge is made for postage unless otherwise stated. Postage is calculated by the weight of the order and delivery address – this cost is shown separately in the checkout before you enter your details for payment.
We will endeavour to dispatch the goods within 2 working days after your payment has been confirmed. If any item you have chosen is unavailable, we aim to contact you via email or phone immediately and offer you an alternative or cancel your order. Delivery is available within the UK mainland only at present.
At the present time we offer two methods of paying for your order – by Debit Card (Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, etc.) or by Paypal (which can also process credit cards for us, with or without a Paypal account). You will be able to select your preferred payment method during the final stage of checkout where you will also be offered the opportunity to use any store.
This website takes precautions to protect users’ information. Proteinology Ltd uses secure server software (SSL) to ensure your credit card will be protected against fraudulent use while on our site. This service encrypts all personal information entered to prevent anyone but the intended recipient from viewing or manipulating your information. If for any reason your information is used to make fraudulent purchases, your bank or credit card company may not hold you accountable for any more than £50.00 of fraudulent purchases. Additionally, Proteinology Ltd will reimburse you up to the full £50.00 of fraudulent charges you could be held liable for if the fraud occurred through no fault of your own as a result of information being passed across our secure server.
Stock & Inventory
Proteinology does not constitute dietary advice or official recommendation. For proper and correct nutritional advice and guidance, please consult a trained fitness professional or dietitian.
Food products offered by Proteinology Ltd are intended for use and consumption by persons over the age of 18.
As many of the products available at Proteinology Ltd are consumable and, in some cases, freshly baked, they are subject to conventional ‘best-before’ and ‘sell-by’ dates.
At Proteinology Ltd we endeavour to ensure that all products with a declared expiration date have at least 1 month’s shelf-life at sale. However, as many of our products are sold by the single-unit – and, as such, purchases are more likely to be driven by impulse and consumed quickly – we reserve the right to supply products with as little as 2 full weeks (14 days) shelf-life remaining without prior indication on site.
More usually, we will create updated product listings within our ‘clearance’ area when a product is nearing its expiry which clearly identifies the relevant expiration date accompanied by a sale discount which increases as the deadline approaches. Any ‘out of date’ product may still be offered for sale, but the passed expiration date will be clearly marked on site.
Should we supply a product past its expiration date without prior indication/warning, we will of course offer you store credit, refund or replace at no cost.
You the customer must contact us at Proteinology within 5 working days if your parcel has not been received within the allocated shipping time for your destination. If you do not and the parcel is returned to us you will be required to pay for a second shipping charge at full cost.
We are committed to provide great products and customer service. Any non-defective, unopened products may be returned within 14 days of delivery with all original packing material and invoice/receipts for a refund minus the original delivery charge. The costs for shipping returned items to Proteinology will be covered by the customer.
Only if the return is as a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc…) will Proteinology pay the return shipping costs.
Returning Items by Mail
Fill out the following information on the back of your invoice when you return the goods.
State the reason for the return.
Indicate whether you would prefer a refund to the credit card originally used, a cheque, or an exchange (we may only offer an exchange for the same product).
Small Items – Package the return securely (in the original packaging if possible) and include the packing slip. Packages must be returned pre-paid, and for your own protection, we recommend you use a recorded delivery service. If you want the delivery charge refunded please remember to include the receipt for this cost. Send the package to: Customer Services 5 Acorn Business Park, Woodseats Close, Sheffield, S8 0TB, United
Please note that refunds for cancellation and/or returns will be processed in the same form of payment originally used.
We will gladly exchange our products, providing they return to our store within 14 days of invoice and are in the same condition which they left. The costs for shipping the returned items to The Protein Pick and Mix will be covered by the customer and the costs for the replacement to be sent out will also need to be covered by the customer.
If for any reason at all you simply change your mind and wish to have you order refunded you will be charged a £2 refund transaction fee plus the cost of shipping if we have already sent it out you. Any products returned for refund must be returned in the same condition in which they left.
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly.
We aim to deal with all complaints as effectively as possible. Your complaint may be emailed to email@example.com . We aim to acknowledge by email any emailed within 2 working days, and to conclude our investigations as soon as possible thereafter.
